BIG TUNA GREYMOUTH - 1 Spot Left!
This trip is to film and photograph the GIANT BLUEFIN tuna that congregate off the West Coast of the South Island.
Dates will be travel down on 26th August, then approx 2 full days including nights at sea.
We will be approx 50 miles out in the Hokitika Trench where we will burley all night hoping to attract big tuna to dive
on at first light the next morning. If in the first day we achieve what we came for we will return to port and I will return
part of trip cost, if not we will stay another night and try again. It is not gauranteed we will succeed but chances are
good with past experience and the boat and skipper I have chosen for the mission.
My last trip down we burleyed in approx 12 fish from 200kgs to approx 300kgs, they fed all around me for 30 minutes
until one was caught by a line fisherman.
This trip is not to catch one just to feed, swim, film and photograph them, it is possible in this situation they could stay
with us all day but it has never been done before so we will be the pioneers of this style of trip.
